Vom 21. – 23. September findet der Ocean Future Lab Hackathon statt.
Eine Registrierung für die Teilnahme an dem Online Event ist über Eventbrite erforderlich.
Der Hackathon ist eine Plattform für Social Innovation Incubation. Im Fokus steht die Weiterentwicklung der 7 ausgewählten Ideen mit einer interessierten Öffentlichkeit sowie mit Mentor:innen und Expert:innen. Parallel findet ein Science Slam statt, d.h. es werden Kurzvorträge zu wissenschaftlich relevanten Themen offeriert.
Am Ende dieses Online-Events werden die drei Gewinner:innen durch die Expert:innen-Jury ermittelt. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, auf dem Entrepreneurship Summit (22. – 23.10.2022) ihre Lösungsideen einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zu präsentieren.
Der nachhaltige Umgang mit den Küsten, Meeren und Ozeanen ist eine gesellschaftliche Herausforderung, die uns alle angeht. Das Ocean Future Lab bietet Raum für die co-kreative und inspirierende Gestaltung von Zukunftsszenarien für Meere und Menschen. Bürger:innen sind eingeladen, im Austausch mit Künstler:innen und Wissenschaftler:innen Zukunftsideen und Handlungsmöglichkeiten zu entwickeln und zu visualisieren.
Das Ocean Future Lab ist ein Projekt des „Wissenschaftsjahres 2022 – Nachgefragt!“ und wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung gefördert. Partner sind die Deutsche Allianz Meeresforschung, das Institute for Art and Innovation sowie das Deutsche Meeresmuseum, das Deutsche Schifffahrtsmuseum.

The Ocean Future Lab Hackathon will take place from September 21st – 23rd. Tickets can be found via Eventbrite.
The hackathon is a platform for social innovation incubation. The focus is on the further development of the 7 selected ideas from the open call with an interested public as well as with mentors and experts. A science slam will take place at the same time, i.e. short lectures on scientifically relevant topics will be offered.
At the end of this online event, the three winners will be identified by the expert jury. They have the opportunity to present their solution ideas to a broad public at the Entrepreneurship Summit (October 22nd – 23rd, 2022).
The sustainable use of coasts, seas and oceans is a social challenge that concerns us all. The Ocean Future Lab offers space for the co-creative and inspiring design of future scenarios for oceans and people. Citizens are invited to develop and visualize ideas for desirable futures as well as joint actions in exchange with artists and scientists.
