Description:
Garbage I collected on the beaches around the Aabenraa Fjord (Denmark) was thrown back into the Fjord while riding a swan pedal boat. The people of the area spend a lot of time during summer on the beaches. They swim in the middle of the drifting debris and sit next to it in the sand while contemplating. Most of the trash is packaging (ice cream, snacks, sandwiches, bottle caps, bottles, plastic bags). The rest is marine debris connected to fishing (fishing nets, gloves, plastic containers etc..). The performance was presented at AABENRAA ARTWEEK 2015.
