5th Baltic MSP Forum: Navigate Planning Through Changes
The 5th Baltic Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) Forum returns on 11–12 November 2025 in Riga, hosted at the VEF Culture Palace. Held in close connection with the Baltic Sea2Land project as its final conference, this year’s edition expands its focus to better connect MSP and coastal zone planning.
Under the theme “Navigate Planning Through Changes”, the Forum will address pressing regional topics such as:

Resilience and liveability of coastal communities

Integration of ecosystem services into MSP

Climate adaptation for coastal municipalities

Blue-green infrastructure and sustainable blue economy

Multi-use planning and space efficiency

Sea-basin governance, security, and the ecosystem-based approach
This fully in-person event will gather MSP experts, policymakers, researchers, NGOs, and practitioners from across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond, offering a key platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative innovation in marine and coastal planning.
Organised by the VASAB Secretariat and the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development of Latvia, in partnership with the Interreg Baltic Sea2Land consortium.
