For “Experiment Zukunft” international artists are invited whose artistic work is related to scientific research. The exhibition presents 18 thought-provoking, sensually experienceable art projects, some of which are or will be continued in collaboration with scientists from the University of Rostock. Curated by Dr. Susanne Jaschko.
The artist Dr. Kat Austen, the biotechnician and artist Gjino Sutic and Franziska Klaeger, scientist from the IOW Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde are investigating the pollution of the sea, especially the Baltic Sea, through microplastics. In addition to the latest scientific findings, a do-it-yourself method for the analysis of microplastics in fish is taught in the workshop.
