Justyna Górowska
Description:
WetMeWild is my performative incarnation in Slavic nymph (a mythical green-haired creature with special seductive powers, living in a rivers and small forest streams). In the project, I am the author of content and guide trough topics that refer to the global water crisis, especially in the context of plastic pollution. The project has its beginning in summer during residency program in Art in General (NY) and is continued until now. WetMeWild activities contain ephemeral appearances in public and video performances, produced artifacts from found objects (following the idea of sustainable art) and educative images. She has also an Instagram profile with a history of all activities in reality and those specially created for that platform. In project often I am using Augmented Reality Technology through which I distributed an educational information in public space by hacking found elements in exact space (for example Spring Street sign of the NYC subway) or by my AR interactive stickers. A project is representing an engaged model of art by being a tool of social change in thought of post-avant-garde. To the open call, I will apply with couple numbered (#1,#2,#3,#4...) reveals of a WetMeWild project to show its complexity: 2# Sample of the images from WetMeWild’s Instagram profile that can be shown in many different forms.
